Site Accessibility Information

I have made efforts to make certain this site is as accessible as possible, and am always willing to try new ideas to improve it. If you have difficulty using this website, please contact me with your complaint! I'll try and resolve your problem as quickly as possible.

Features

It is possible to enlarge text while viewing this site using the functionality of your browser. In Internet Explorer, you can navigate to the "View" menu, select "Text Size", and choose whatever size text you find preferable. In Firefox, you can simply press Ctrl and + (plus) to increase the text size, or Ctrl and - (minus) to reduce the size of the text. The latest versions of Opera allow you to reduce the text size simply by pressing the "minus" key (-), and to enlarge your view with Shift and + (plus).

For more information on refining text sizes and colors using your browser, read my article “Refining Text Presentation with your Web Browser”. Although the article is focused on Windows-based browsers, the paths for Safari for Macintosh or Firefox for Macintosh should be very similar to those described.

Accessibility features of the site include internal page navigation links, providing easy navigation between the document content and navigation side bar. This site does not make use of the accesskey attribute for a wide variety of reasons, primarily related to conflicts between accesskey assignments and the keyboard navigation designed into assistive technology and standard browsers.

All page content is provided in a logical order starting from the header, to the content, and then to the navigation. The content may always be skipped using a link in the header.
