Since you were compelled to write this, you might like this &lt;a href="http://mikecherim.com/experiments/php_browser_sniffer.php" rel="nofollow"&gt;really simple PHP solution&lt;/a&gt;. It can solve a lot of issues. Bascially 4 lines of code -- 5 if you count the ending curly brace -- per browser you need special treatment for.</description>
