The world of mobile web development changes so rapidly that you should seriously consider looking for a more recent book. This would still give you an introduction to the basics; but it will be missing a lot of areas of interest just because of the date. However, if you're snatching up every book you can find, there's no real reason not to add this one to the collection. If it was still 2008, I’d still say you should get a copy of this. 2 years later, I’m not so certain.
