Where has the time gone? This episode released over a month ago, and we’ve already recorded episode number six. Well, let’s pretend that I’m re-publishing this information to keep the conversation alive. It’s a marketing strategy, not me forgetting to publishing things. (Yeah, let’s go with that.)

For show number five, Nathan and I took a little bit of a different direction. After Jamie Marsland published about his attempt to get an AI tool to build him an accessible website, we decided that it made sense to take that site and give it a once-over. Is it enough to just tell AI that you need something to be accessible?

Spoiler alert: no, it’s not enough. But it was interesting. The AI-built site was far from the worst site I’ve ever seen. It made some very predictable mistakes.

What this exposes about AI is the reminder that these tools are learning from what people do and write: and that means they learn the things we do right, but also the things we do wrong.

Give the episode a watch; it was an interesting experiment!
